Melissa Baum is an undergraduate architecture student at the University of Maryland in College Park. She is part of the Design Cultures and Creativity living and learning program in the Honors College, where she he is able to merge her passion for art and design with the social and environmental issues she cares about. Specifically, she enjoys art making through physical practices such as painting, ceramics, and sculpture. In her career, she hopes to design future environments that are accessible and work to solve the sustainability problems that we face in the built environment. She also hopes to incorporate more digital aspects into her artwork and design processes as she learns more digital art programs and media in college.
